The Shoes That Grow
Donation protected
What we call "Building Lives Abuja" is a group of dedicated volunteers who saw a need and are working towards making a difference. What started as an adult ESL Program has quickly expanded. When volunteers recognized a need for childcare more people quickly stepped up to lend a hand. Now, we run two ESL programs. One for adults, and one that serves (sometimes over) 75 children. All of the children that attend the program are underserved. Many of them are living in an Internally Displaced Persons camp right here in Abuja. Aside from the desire to learn English, what many of these children need is a good pair of shoes. Unfortunately the conditions in which these children live are unsafe and unsanitary. When playing without shoes, children run the risk of cuts and scrapes which can quickly lead to infection. By donating $15, you can provide one of these children with a pair of innovative shoes that are specially designed to grow with them.
