Project Kenya
Donation protected
In this project, we plan to lay the foundations of two large classrooms in Kenya and to build two 5,000 litre water tanks. We have already raised a little over € 9,000 from a € 10,000 goal but would like to increase this by May.
The rest of the money will be donated to the Breakfast for Children Foundation, a foundation set up 5 years ago by the British School The Hague through the same project, and has since given breakfast to schoolkids free of charge. This does not only motivate parents to send their children to school for education but also to grants these kids breakfast every morning.
To make this project possible, we organise small fundraising campaigns almost every week, such as a 170 KM sponsored Row by the team, sports tournaments for our aged or younger students, sponsored art auctions, merchandise bazaars and much more. But we also rely heavily on funds from relatives, friends, neighbours and others.
At the moment I am organizing my own campaign: A sponsored 10 kilometre run for the team and invited guests. Among other things, I ask for donations to make this a worthwhile campaign.
Therefore I ask you for your financial support because every euro helps to increase the chances of basic education and breakfast for a child in Kenya.
