Caring for Community Cats

Elgin Alley Cats are committed to the care of Elgin's Community Cats by feeding, trapping, neutering, and returning (TNR) community cats to their colonies.  We also make sure each and every cat has it's shots and any medical care needed.  You can recognize these cats in that their left ear will be tipped.  When you see that, you will know that they are no longer populating the city with kittens and are vaccinated.    Through our efforts the feral/community cat colonies are stabilized and their numbers will be reduce humanly over time.  We are also strong advocates for the education of all citizens in Elgin to the need to spay, neuter and vaccinate all pets.
