It Takes a Village

My name is Sheila, and our beautiful friend (my sister from another mister), Danielle Nadeau and her fiancé Alex Tziakas brought their 3rd child into the world on October 5th, 2022, Alexandros Kyriakos (Aj). This beautiful baby boy officially turned their family into a “Party of 5”!

Unfortunately, 10-day-old baby Aj came down with a cold. Being 10 days old, Danielle and Alex decided it would be best to have him checked by his pediatrician. Their doctor advised he was fighting a cold and directed them to continue to monitor him at home and to call if any of his symptoms worsened. A few days had gone by, and they noticed baby Aj struggling to breathe, so back to the doctors they went. The doctor immediately referred baby Aj to the hospital to be placed on oxygen and to receive further testing. At less than 2 weeks old, little baby Aj was diagnosed with RSV - if you are familiar with RSV, you know how very scary the virus is. Baby Aj was admitted to the hospital and required round-the-clock monitoring and administration of oxygen. After spending nearly a week in the hospital, their little warrior Aj was discharged home and back to being a part of the Party of 5 - Danielle, Alex, Izzy, Leo and Aj!!

Nearly a month later and baby Aj is still on the up and up - thank you God! ❤️❤️❤️

Financial reality has hit pretty hard as the explanation of benefits (EOBs) and medical bills have begun to roll in. Danielle, who is still out on maternity leave, and Alex are doing their best to stay ahead of the medical bills, but they just keep on coming. High deductibles and out-of-pocket responsibility can seem almost impossible to meet and unfortunately, they are not even close.

I personally wish I had all the money to help financially assist Danielle and Alex during these hard times, but I can’t do it alone. I ask with an open heart, please help OUR friends in any way that you can during their time of need. I know it is a tough time of year to give anything extra, but even the littlest amount can help in a very big way! I know Danielle and Alex won't ask, but the bold redhead sure will!
