Chris Bailey Memorial Fund

Hello, my name is David Bailey and my younger brother Chris passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 24th. He was 51. Chris loved to do many things, including being a die-hard Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan as evidenced by his block O tattoo on his calf and all of his “Terrible Towels” hanging in his home and from his golf bag. Chris loved vacationing at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland with his 3 boys during the annual Bailey Family Reunion, where he always caught the “biggest” fish. In addition to being a Dad to his 3 boys and being a football fanatic, Chris loved working as the broker/owner of Ohio Home Realty. He gained enormous joy helping families find the perfect home for the next chapter of their lives. Chris enjoyed golf, racquetball, fishing and volunteering at local soup kitchens. Chris was a member of Southbrook Christian Church where he made many meaningful connections, which helped him on a daily basis, over the past few years.

The greatest thing I can say about my brother is he was a loving and dedicated father. He was driven and determined to be certain his three boys, Luke a freshman at OSU, Max a junior in high school and Zach an eighth grader, all attend college.

Unfortunately with his unexpected death that dream is at risk, but I will do all I can to help make his dream come true.

All of the funds raised by this campaign will go towards his son’s continuing education costs and his memorial costs. I will work with his son Luke to direct the funds for his current year OSU Lima expenses and for Max and Zach’s future education.
