Humane Society Grand Bahama Needs Help

The Humane Society of Grand Bahama was founded in 1968 to provide safe harbour for the island's homeless and abused animals.  They are a private, non-profit charitable organization that receives no financial support from the Government.

My name is Lisa Pakosh and I have been living in the Bahamas for 11 years now.  Over this time I have fallen in love with the animals here.  One major problem we have is that we have a large wild animal population and we do not have the ability to care for them all.  But we try.  Our Humane Society works tirelessly to help as many potcakes (Bahamian dogs) and cats as they can.  Being a small island we do not have the support here that others may have.  I love to volunteer in the cattery and have found they are in desperate need of some basic medicines for their animals.  So I am turning to my friends and other caring people out there and asking you to help us help the animals.  Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!  The Humane Society of Grand Bahama thanks you!
