Uncle Mark's Liver Transplant

Donation protected
For those who don’t know, my Uncle Mark has been privately battling a very serious liver disease for the past two years. With constant visits to local hospitals, the doctors continued to monitor his condition as you would expect. Just last week, my Uncle Mark received even more terrible news. His kidneys were starting to fail, and he had infected fluid inside his body that was starting to build up. At this point in time, it was in his best interest health wise to be transported immediately to his liver transplant doctors in Philadelphia so that they could closely monitor him. The plan was to have him stay there until this Friday 10/27 and if he was feeling better, he’d be sent home.

Just yesterday, my Aunt Laura informed all of us the terrific news. He was given a liver that matched his and he immediately was headed into surgery at 7am. Surgery went well and now he is on the long road to recovery!

My Uncle Mark is a very loving uncle, father, brother, son, and friend to many. He is as kind and caring as can be. He’s a big ole teddy bear. A gentle giant. He’s a family man and one I’m glad to call “Uncle”. I love him to death as many others do.

Today, I am starting a GoFundMe page in his honor to help him out as he is going to be out of work for a very long time. He is the head of household and self-employed so I’d love to start a donation for him to help alleviate the finances. Please share this post and help us reach our goal!
