LongHouse Food Scholars Tuition
Donation protected
I was recently accepted as one of ten graduate-level participants to the 2014 LongHouse Food Scholars Program in Rensselaerville, NY. I will be spending a month this summer working alongside current media professionals of mixed modalities to hone my skills in multiple forms of media, food writing, recipe testing, and food photography. I will also be afforded the opportunity to network with food authors, professors and intellectuals, and have access to professional mentoring sessions.
In the words of the LongHouse Food Scholars team:
"This program draws on the best and brightest of the emerging generation and supplies serious, hands-on training"”necessary to compete and to be employable in a market that requires significant scholarly knowledge as well as fluency in each media platform."
As a full-time student, the budget is tight, so I'm turning to my friends and family for help with the $5,000 tuition. I'm hoping that if I put up $2,500, I can raise the rest to match it!
