I think anyone that will see this already knows me, and probably already knows my story. That said, I am always open to answering any questions you may have, no matter how personal. I have been participating in trans education for over ten years now, and I welcome the opportunity to share my life with you. Please find my contact info below.
When my wife had difficulty conceiving, I went off T and I was able to get pregnant, safely carry our daughter to term and deliver her naturally (without any scalpels, sedation, pain killers or other medications of any kind). I was able to provide the best nutrition she could have by breastfeeding her. She's almost eighteen months old now and my body's part of the job is done.
With the exception of pregnancy and breastfeeding, I have been binding my chest for twelve years. I have a crooked sternum and two ribs out of place as a result. Yes, there is pain every day, and there has been for over a decade. Yes, my lung/breath capacity is reduced by nearly 70% constantly, resulting in asthmatic sympotoms that prevent me from swimming or running.
I am now back on testosterone, and more than ready for surgical changes to this body. Thanks to my wife's health insurance, Kaiser will pay for most of it. I am currently a stay-at-home dad and we are saving what we can, and have reduced our expenses everywhere possible. I have already passed all of my psych tests and scheduled top surgery for 07/01/14 and bottom surgery for 11/06/14. I am leaning into the discomfort of faith, knowing that with your help, we can make this happen.
If I can successfully raise the money by June 30, 2014, I will be able to pay only $3,500 total for both top surgery and bottom surgery. My wife and I are attempting to pay for the travel and lodging expenses on our own, so I will not be including those expenses in this campaign.
I want to thank you now for everything. Every dollar, every smile, every moment that you have thought kindly of me has helped already. Know that I am grateful for each one of you today, and will be tomorrow. Every one of you have helped to shape me into the person I have become. Now it's time to reconstruct my body to match the rest of me. Even if we have never met and we may never know each other, I can say with sincerety that I love you, and I look forward to the day that you need my help, too.
