Burkina Faso Mission Trip

Hi, friends and family!  I am so excited that you have chosen to visit my page and learn about my trip to Africa this summer.  I am beyond words at how the Lord has moved in my life and opened up a door for me in Burkina Faso to love on children for His Glory.  Burkina Faso is a third-world country in West Africa where poverty, sickness, and limited access to education are common.  I will be serving from July 6th-22nd with a small group of young adults from Christian Fellowship Church located in Columbia, Missouri.  We will be working with an orphanage organization called Sheltering Wings.  In addition to working with the children in the orphanage, I will also be able to help in the medical clinic with the same organization.  I am so glad to have an opportunity to take the love of God, passion He has given me for working with children, and the knowledge I have gained through studying child development to help these children and families in need.

I especially appreciate your prayers as I prepare for this trip.  I ask for prayers for funds to come as needed, for my heart and the hearts of all of those travelling with me to be tuned to the Lord's voice, and for the children and families we will come into contact with while in Burkina Faso.  If God leads you to donate towards my travel expenses to help make this trip a possibility, I will be very grateful for your donation.  Feel free to donate through this website (although it will charge you a small fee) or you can let me know you would like to help and I can give you my contact information so you can donate without the fee.  Any amount helps, but if you are unable to help fund me, your prayers are wanted and needed!
