Help Freddy graduate

About me:

My name is Wilfredo Amill, but most people know me as Freddy. I am a twenty year old Puerto Rican male from North Philadelphia trying to create a good life for myself and my family. Growing up, my life was rough but I was able to overcome obstacles to reach where I am today, which is a place I never thought I’d be. You see, in high school I was barely passing because I was not applying myself and was struggling, not having a stable home. The lifestyle I was living was not one that was leading me towards a promising future. Fortunately, I was able to find everything I needed in some family members who invested in me and showed me that I can accomplish things if I put my mind to them (Thank you Titi and Tio I can't explain how lucky and grateful I am to have you both and the girls in my life<3). Now, because of them, I am a graduate of Bodine High School for International Affairs, class of 2014.

Fast forward three years and you’ll see me today, a rising senior Arcadia University majoring in Theatre/English, class of 2018, a first generation college student. Reaching this point has not been the easiest achievement for me, there have been many hardships faced and tasks that needed to be done, but I was able to push through them all and am hoping to push through the next one I am facing.

Currently I am applying for scholarships to help reduce the cost of my tuition because it is an unaffordable amount for my family and myself. I am currently working as a Resident Assistant, peer mentor, and office assistant to help reduce the price of tuition, but it just isn’t enough.This leads me to the reason I have created this GoFundMe account.

Why GoFundMe?:

I am entering my senior year and am currently in need of help to pay for my tuition so that I can stay on track to graduate on time. In order for me to register for class I need to get the balance that I owe down to a certain amount--not to clear it, but just to be able to register. The amount I need is $2,800 and I am hoping you all can help me get there! I will need to have raised this or have found a way to come up with the money before August 11th, which is when I need to register for classes in order to keep my job as an RA, which I NEED. I am only asking for the amount I need to register; I believe once I can register, I can then take the next steps to reduce the rest of my balance. I am not a greedy person or one who is looking to take advantage of others, just a person trying to reach some goals. I hope you can consider helping me out. Anything helps, even if it is a prayer, sharing the link to this page, or you sending me good vibes.
