Can you help our students to tour colleges and build community?
Summit San Jose is a public charter school in East San Jose. Our students are predominantly Latino and Asian American, and many will be the first in their families to go to college. Our goal is to take one hundred 9th gradestudents to UCSC and Cal State Monterey Bay for a 2-day college visit and academic field trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium AND to take one hundred 10th graders to tour UC Davis and CSUEB and learn the physics of bowling. Our trip is planned for mid-March! To get there, we need to raise approximately $6800, or about $34 per student for lodging, food, admission to the aquarium, and transportation costs. We don't want to have to turn any student away for lack of funds to go on the trip - please help out with any amount you can!
