This summer from May 5th-12th I have the amazing opportunity to serve in Haiti with my church and Campus Christian House! Partnering with House of Hope Haiti, we will be building a wall around one of the orphanages, as well as teaching English and doing arts and crafts with the orphans. We will also be traveling to a near by mountain village to distribute clothes. Our main goal is to help the church there spread the word of Christ's love and compassion.

A professor at my university started House of Hope Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010. The orphanage now has about 50 children and about 400 children attend school there. This is my first overseas mission trip and I cannot wait to help further God's kingdom. I am saving, asking for donations, and fundraising for the $1,400 it takes to go Haiti. Financial support would be a blessing, but I would love prayers for my heart and the hearts of my friends also going to Haiti, and for the Haitians we will be blessed to serve! I know God will be working in all of our hearts as we prepare for this journey and prayers are greatly appreciated and needed!
