Due to confidentiality restrictions, we are unable to name our dear friends in our campaign to raise money.
It didn't take long for ______ and ______ to realize they had something very special. After two years of dating, they decided to get married and haven't looked back since. That was over a decade ago, yet they are still just as deeply in love. Naturally, after a few years of marriage, ___ & ___ began their attempt at having a little one of their own. After trying to conceive for a few years, they sought help from a specialist. This is when they were both diagnosed with fertility issues and began receiving fertility treatments. After many failed attempts and broken hearts, they had nearly given up hope of having a child of their own. They learned to find joy in the many other children in their life: Countless God-children and many nieces and nephews. However, they still dream of one day having a child to call their own. They both feel that they have so much more love to give, and still have not given up hope.
Years later:while ___ was out running her usual errands, she received a call from Child Protective Services. It was a life-long friend needing help caring for her child rather than sending the child to Foster Care. Although ____ had just reconnected with her, she still felt compelled to help. Sadly, she knew there was a long history of substance abuse and violence on both sides of the child's family. After agreeing to help, she started to discover exactly how Texas Child Protective Service works.
While there are laws that must be followed, the children are the ones that are truly affected by these laws. There have been set backs and serious concerns regarding biological parents, and reunification with parents is still possible despite these issues. In order to protect the child, these new "parents" are seeking assistance in raising money to fight for the right of the child to have a life where love, stability, safety, morals and values can be instilled in the child. ___ & ___ are all this baby knows as "mom and dad". They have not asked for any assistance from the state and have not received a penny from either parent when it came to this baby's care. Throughout this process, there has been numerous family members from both the child's side and the foster parents' side supporting the best placement for the child, which would be to stay with the ______.
In attempt to help our friends become forever parents, and in attempt to allow this child the privilege of being raised in a home where she can learn, grow and flourish, we are asking for assistance in helping our friends with their legal fees. With their court date in March drawing near, time is the essence. Please help us raise money for "mom & dad" as well as this precious little life. We also ask each of our viewers for prayers during this challenging time. We have faith, hope, and love and pray for God's will to be done.
