Ian Torres
The Story of Our Friend Ian:
Our Friend, Ian, is one of our Parents at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and St. Jeromes Elementary School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Coach, Volunteer, Dad, and friend for 15 years. He is 46 years old and has a senior who will graduate this year and go off to college. Six months ago, he started getting severe head aches, seizures and hallucinations. Last week, he was diagnosed with Brain Cancer (melanoma which started somewhere still unknown and traveled to his brain). He was mis-diagnosed with Encephalitis. He suffers from hammering headaches and has lost most of his eye sight. What Carrie and I are asking our friends, family and generous donators for is gift cards, tuition assistance, grocery cards, home-made meals for his parents, wife and son who are at his bedside 24 hours a day. Sandra, his wife, works six days a week and goes straight to his bedside after work everyday. Ian, Jr., a senior, who is a straight A, AP student, is preparing to go to college, grad night, high school graduation and his father's recent diagnosis. Please help in whatever way you can. Thank you, Maria and Carrie
