Dan & Heather Wilson and family- Christmas Fire

Hi, my name is Deni, my daughter Heather, son in law Dan and grandson Ayden lost everything they owned in a fire that started 1 hour after midnight on Christmas Day. The electrical fire started in their 3rd floor apartment as they slept. Dan smelled what he thought was paper burning. He woke Heather and they went into the living room where the room was filled with black smoke and flames coming in the through the sheetrock. As they tried to extinguish the flames the fire grew rapidly. My grandson called 911 and they were told to get out out of the apartment. In a panic they grabbed their family dog (Daisy) and headed downstairs. They were on the 3rd floor. As they reached each apartment below them they banged on doors and called out to their neighbors. 13 people were left homeless that night. The only apartment burned was the 3rd floor, my daughters family. They lost all of their belongings. All they had was what they were wearing. They lost every sentimental photo, drawing, keepsake, pot, pan, furniture….. everything! We are so thankful that none of the residents were hurt in the fire. Heather and Dan are hard working parents that struggle to make ends meet. Ayden is an awesome 16 yr old that is a computer wiz and he lost all his computer equipment. He can take apart and rebuild a computer better than most. Please, they need your help to rebuild their lives.
