Continuing Education in Scenic Art

Hello to my friends, family, mentors and colleagues,
I am reaching out to you all because I want to continue my education in the craft of scenic painting. As most of you know, I have been freelancing in the New York City area for over a year now, and I have had a great experience. Through the mentorship of several of you, and through my own studies, I have learned several of the tricks, tips, and techniques of scenic painting. However, as you know, there is only so much time on a job to learn new skills. After all, time is money! So, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for your assistance in helping me to continue my education and push myself further.
I recently got the opportunity to visit Cobalt Studios, the premier scenic painting studio that is dedicated to quality training. After speaking to many of the students, and the head of the program, I have decided that attending the upcoming seminar on on pneumatic spraying would be a great step for me. Through this training, I will gain confidence in using different types of sprayers to create beautiful sunsets, gradients, and even amazing airbrushed images. I really believe that participating in this seminar will not only improve my skills, but provide a great networking opportunity and make me a more desirable employee.
I am asking for funding to help me not only pay for the class and the transportation, but to help offset the cost of taking time out of work for a week. As you know, I am a freelancer, which has fantastic perks, but paid vacation is not one of them.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. Any help and support you can provide gets me that much closer to my goal.
