Please help us help our parents

Everyone knows our dad, Mike Chagnon, is the most independent, generous, hard-working, funny, and most caring guy around. He would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was the last thing he owned. He deserves all the good things in this world, and yet a sudden and traumatic accident has created a major roadblock.
On Friday, 9/17/21, dad fell off my parents 2 story roof and broke his back. He is now paralyzed from the waist down and we hope there will be a chance of regaining feeling and/or mobility. This is incredibly devastating for us, as his daughters, but we know it’s even worse for him to lose his independence.
We would like to try to help our parents with the upcoming bills they will incur with converting the house to be fully wheelchair accessible, medical care, a new vehicle to transport him, plus all the things that could make him comfortable that insurance won’t cover.
Our biggest goal is to keep them from having to sell their lake house in order to afford the new bills. That’s their dream home. The house they put years of blood, sweat, and tears into; the place the planned to retire to; and the place we all had a hand in creating (including Mikey).
My parents would never, ever ask for anything, certainly not money, so they do not know we are doing this. Please do not tell them.
We just want to give the world to our parents, like they did for us. If we can raise enough just to help build one wheelchair ramp, that will be more than enough.
Thank you for reading and for caring. We love you and thank you.
