Lucia’s fundraiser

This is a fundraiser page for Lucia and her mum. Lucia was diagnosed with leukaemia July 2018, she’s had numerous rounds of chemo, radiotherapy, bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures monthly, in september she developed sepsis and was hours away from death. In March 2019 she had a double umbilical cord stem cell transplant, she is currently recovering in addenbrooks hospital.

As we all know her lovely mum Mimi is over from Mexico, she’s dropped everything to be there for her daughter, currently living in hospital accommodation to be near her daughter. She’s not working but still needs to live. In October she had to undergo surgery to fit a pacemaker, due to the stress of seeing what Lucia has been through. This cost £6000, then her visa ran out... to renew it cost £2000, this is only for 6 months, then it will need renewing again. The fact of having a loved one as a long term inpatient, over an hour away from your home has been awful for her family, and if we can help out in any way this will be just amazing and a really big help to them all.
