Rob Deptula

Hi, I am Amy Nichols and I am creating this website for my brother Rob Deptula. Rob is a former Correctional Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and a former Police Officer with the Atlantic Beach Police Department. He was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease) in July of 2013. In one short year, his condition has worsened so quickly that Rob is dependent on a wheelchair, completely disabled and unable to work. Expenses not covered by insurance are enormous. Rob and his fiancé, Lisa Nieves – an Orlando public school teacher – need our help right now. Rob is fighting to keep his independence. Lisa was able to purchase a van, Rob is now able to travel with comfort and ease to his appointments. Although that was only one of the financial burdens Rob and Lisa face, his medication is expensive, he needs care from an in home nurse so he doesn't have to be alone while Lisa works. Please help Rob actively participate in his own care. Rob and Lisa are bravely coping with ALS. Our family deeply appreciates your kindness and support.
