Baby mama drama in Varkala, India!

For those of you who have been keeping up with my blog, you know about the troubles I have had these last twelve or so days. I am on proper antibiotics for my Shigella infection and feeling much better. My appetite seems to still be appalled by most foods but I am eating and drinking my fare share of crackers, peanut butter, bananas, and coconut water. After my experience at the Iyengar Centre (for more info read blog from March 5th), I have decided not to go to Dharmsala anymore. In truth, even of I had wanted to go, I had missed required class days and it is unclear whether they would have allowed me to go or not. All my family and friends who donated to my training will be happy to know that I am using donated money for a Pre-Natal teacher training in Varkala, Kerala. It seems fitting, that in Amma's (Amma means mother in Hindi) home state, I would be drawn back there to learn how to work with pregnant women. I feel guided in this decision. I wanted to put everyones generosity towards a training that I could bring back to my community. This training is certified through the International Yoga Alliance and a previous 200TTC is required to even apply to the program. I knew I would do such a training but I didn't think it would be in India. Pre-
natal yoga is in line with my beliefs that yoga is a powerful medicine that helps women throughout their pregnancy. Still working out a few banking details so it is not set in stone. Cross your fingers and say a little prayer. Thank you friends and family who donated.
