Hello everyone, I am asking for the benevolence of others because I am trying to fund a Spanish immersion program in Barcelona, Spain for the 2014-2015 academic year. It is an accredited program in the heart of the city, which includes books, fees, activities, and 36 weeks consisting of 20 hours per week of Spanish language for $7,300 U.S. dollars. The remainder of the donations would go towards moving cost and housing. I set my goal at $10,000 dollars because I plan on working in my down time to pay for all other costs. About me: I am a 31 year-old first generation college student currently at the University of California, Davis. I will graduate June 14, 2014 with honors as a History major. In the fall, while in Spain, I will be applying to Ph.D. programs for History. The area of History I study is twentieth century U.S."”Latin American politics, particularly anti-radicalism and intelligence. Before starting any program, I need to learn Spanish at an academic level to be successful in graduate school. After earning my Ph.D., I am hoping to become a professor and give back to the community for all those who have helped me along the way. I am turning to gofundme because I have exhausted all other options. All my current funding goes towards paying for my final quarter of school and living cost here in Davis. I cannot acquire a student loan because I have no one in my life that has the ability to co-sign for me, so I turn to you for help.
