London Orchestra Opportunity
Donation protected
Hey there!
Thanks so much for stopping by my GoFundMe page, I really appreciate it!
A little bit about me:
My name is Matt Dykeman, and I'm a 22 year old clarinet performance major studying at the College-Conservatory of Music based in Cincinnati, OH.
I have a 3.85 GPA, and am scheduled to graduate this April.
I've had the opportunity to perform professionally with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony (Maryland) and the Richmond Symphony (Indiana).
I was a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist and performer on National Public Radio's From The Top.
I am actively involved in the Eta-Omicron chapter of the Phi Mu Alpha fraternity.
I'm a Washington Redskins fan.
I am also a pretty big fan of bacon. Mmm... Bacon.
Why this page is here:
This page was created to help fund a trip over to London, England to work with the King's College London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of their music director Jonathan Lo in June. I've been offered a spot in their clarinet section for their summer tour. It is an amazing opportunity to work with some international musicians and conductors, and I would love to accept their offer.
Here's where you come in. Unfortunately, flights to London are pretty expensive from the United States... And as I'm a student, despite the fact that I work multiple jobs to support myself, money is a bit tight. I'm currently short on the money I need to fly over there. I'm hoping to raise enough money to pay for the flights, which is about $2,000.
If you are willing and able to contribute anything at all to help get me to London this summer, I would be very grateful!
Thank you so much for your time, and for stopping by my GoFundMe page.
Thank you so much,
Matt
