living expenses

Everyone tells me "If you need help, ask." I've hesitated doing that, but due to recent unforseen financial setbacks, I seem to have no choice. Quite honestly, I'm embarassed to ask for help.

Most of you know that I was let go from a teaching job that I loved back in 2012. After nearly 5 months of being unemployed, I got full-time office employement, but was let go from that job after 11 months. I'm working a part-time job now that I love, but am only working an average of 28 hours per week. I've sought full-time employment everwhere but have had no luck.

I was forced to sell my house last April and moved into an apartment. I lost my car in January and was forced to get another vehicle, which creates another financial burden. My apartment complex threatened to take me to court due to "delinquent rent," even though my rent was caught up--they were demanding March rent in advance and legal fees. Fortunately, God answered a prayer, help came from an unlikely and unexpected source, and the court case was dismissed. Since then, the apartment complex has agreed to renew my lease for another year, as long as I can requalify for a lease, this time on my own. My credit is very bad and I'm almost sure they will not approve me.

Needless to say, I'm in a bind. If anyone could possibly help me with basic living expenses, I would greatly appreciate it. Several of my family and friends have helped me recently in various ways, and that has meant so much. If you or anyone you know can possibly help in some small way, it would mean more to me than you could ever know. It isn't easy to swallow your pride and resort to this, but you do what you have to do.
