Help Helena Potts Armistead Beat Cancer

Helena (Potts) Armistead (Hedberg) was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer in January 2014.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (also known as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, NHL, or sometimes just lymphoma) is a cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body’s immune system. Lymphocytes are in the lymph nodes and other lymphoid tissues (such as the spleen and bone marrow).

After 6 rounds of chemotherapy throughout the spring, she has made wonderful progress in her battle against this disease. Unfortunately, further tests in August revealed that the cancer has not been completely eliminated. She will undergo additional, more powerful, chemotherapy in St. Louis throughout the fall, culminating in a bone marrow transplant to cure this disease.

We have created this site to help the Armistead family with bills associated with medical, travel, and other expenses relating to fighting NHL.
