*hope for jolene*

i am starting this page for my mother, in hopes to raise enough money to cover her outstanding medical bills brought on by a very long fight with stage 4 breast cancer. jolene esther betland was diagnosed with breast cancer in november of 2006. since then the cancer has slowly spread throughout her body including her legs, liver and as of recently, maybe her jaw. in november of 2012 jo had a rod placed in her femur due to high risk of pathological fracture from cancerous bones. jo has been through chemo and radiation a countless number of times. she was forced to stop working two years ago due to her physical disabilities. since then the medical bills have been piling up and are a struggle to keep up with. her most recent struggle has been due to a plural infusion in her right lung. which must be drained via a chest catheter as often as every other day. despite these hardships. from day one jo has remained as charming and charismatic as everyone has always known her to be. often having a better attitude and more positive outlook than anyone else around her. recently jo was ordered to be put on hospice by her doctor. and taken off of her chemo-therapy in attempts to improve her comfort of life. full of faith and optimism she declares any statistics or estimated life expectancies as "writing on the wall" and it is just that. we hope and pray that she will be with us for a very long time to come. she is a fighter! please share this writing with whomever you can. even if you cannot afford to donate, please repost this to your facebook and share it with others. no matter the size of donation we truly and greatly appreciate it. anything an everything helps. we will be be keeping everyone up to date on jolene's progress. thank you again for your love and support!
