Celebrating Linus

We are all so very sad for the loss of our good friend, Linus. He was a farmer, not only of vegetables, but of meaningful conversations, quality connections, and lasting friendships. Linus loved unconditionally and welcomed all with a smile. He loved good tunes and the company of his beloved pets. The stars are shining a little brighter with him among them.
Holding two celebrations worthy of our friend will require renting a venue large enough to comfortably hold his many friends and family gathering in northern Vermont. There will also be some other costs, including but not limited to some minor catering and bagpipes.
The first celebration will be Saturday, March 23rd at the Lake Lobby at Main Street Landing from 2:00-4:00. Estimated costs for this event are approximately $1100. The second celebration will be held at the Intervale in Burlington and will include the first annual memorial snail race, (official name TBD), June 8th, the weekend before Linus’s birthday. We’re hoping to utilize a newly renovated space at the farm, so the cost for this gathering will be slightly less, maybe $900.
Any unused money raised for these two celebrations will be donated in Linus’s name to one of the funds set up at the important organizations below.
