Hi Everybody. Well, 2014 has come in like a lion hopped up on Alex Rodriguez's stash of steroids, hasn't it? It's not what we needed after what most folks agree was a pretty shitty 2013. Wouldn't a nice heart warming Facebook surprise be just the right thing about now? Good, glad you think so. Most of us that grew up in the eighties know what a great time it was for bands and fans alike. If you were a fan of Tommy Conwell, The Hooters or Bricklin chances are you know Luke StageWalker Ostertag. He was everybody's favorite roadie and worked tirelessly to make those of us onstage look like rock stars. And now that we're all on Facebook chances are you've seen his face around. As most of you know Luke hasn't had an easy ride in life. For over twenty-four years Luke has dealt with the realities of having Muscular Dystrophy. A condition that regulates him to a wheelchair most of the day. But you would never know it. Eternally optimistic, he doesn't let his circumstances hold him back. Quick with a smile, he's the first one to like a post. We think he might like more posts, comments and pictures than most of us combined. He is an inspiration to us and we hope to you too. Luke lives on a tight budget and this means not a lot of wiggle room for when things go wrong. And we all know things go wrong for everyone. Luke's prize possession, his computer has died on him. This is his lifeline to us, his friends. And us to him. Luke's birthday is March 22 and we think a new(or used) computer would be a fantastic surprise. So we're asking everyone to chip in what you can. Help us give Luke a fantastic birthday. Lets use Facebook for what it's meant to be used for. Not to fight about politicians who don't give a fuck about us. Not to find out we should live in Idaho, not San Francisco. Not for food porn. To bring us together, and lift each other up when times get tough. Are you with us people? Great, now lets make this epic!!
