Help Jim Fight Cancer

Jim (Ellen's hubby) has been diagnosed with cancer.  Today at 9:00am Jim starts his first day of chemotherapy.  Let's pitch in and support Jim, Ellen, and Sam as they battle this disease together.   Your donation will help ease some of the financial stress and medical bills this family is facing.  Jim survived two broken necks and we know he will survive this.  Let's relieve some of their stress by helping them through this seriously difficult time.  

As I write this note asking for your support of our dear friends I am reminded of when I first met Ellen and then Jim.  I first met Ellen in 7th grade and it was one of those situations where the teacher made the loud mouth (me) sit next to the quiet one (Ellen).  We were friends from that moment forward.  When Ellen started to date Jim we knew he was the guy for her.  I remember her describing him as very manly and strong.   He had a big family, loved camping, and he loved road trips - just like Ellen.  I remember their wedding in the apple orchard and then the birth of their son Sam.   I don't know two more loving and generous people.
