In September 2013 Rob was looking forward to starting pre-season rugby training at York University before he started studying for his degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. A week before he was due to go he was involved in a terrible road accident that has changed his life forever.
Rob an active sports man, rugby player and rower has a very high level spinal injury which means that he is paralysed from the neck down and reliant on a ventilator for his breathing. Rob however is determined to rebuild his life as far as he is able. He still wants to take that place at York University.
Following Rob's accident lots of his friends and family wanted to do something positive to help. Not only is Rob going to need everyone's on-going love and support but there are some practical things that will make a huge difference to Rob's mobility and communication and this is where you come in...
On Friday 14th March, Wycliffe College Heads of Houses and Prefects will be entering the Wycliffe Big Brother House, where they will be locked away to endure various tortures until evicted. There will be regular evictions and challenges with potential rewards and forfeits for participants until five are left by 5:00 on Sunday. Everything will be filmed and highlights packages will be produced of the best footage and shared. You are invited to sponsor us through this endurance!
