WHO
Meet Lisa, a 37 year old single momma to two precious babies, Troy (7) and Mariah (6). Lisa has the most positive and inspiring disposition about her, and she impacts every single persons she meets with her warm smile, kind eyes and loving heart.
Lisa is also a breast cancer warrior who was originally diagnosed with this devastating disease in July, 2016. With the support of family and friends, Lisa fought her way through chemo therapy, double mastectomy, radiation therapy, and reconstructive surgery with hardly a complaint.
WHY
In December, 2018, Lisa received the terrible news that her cancer was back, and she was then diagnosed with Stage 4, Metastatic Breast Cancer. So far, the cancer has metastasized to Lisa’s liver, and there are numerous masses on both lobes. She is currently receiving treatment, but it is palliative in nature, and a cure is not expected. She is showing incredible strength, and despite the gruelling, torturous treatment and grim diagnosis, she is pushing through the hard days with a smile on her face. She is determined to spend her time living life to the absolute fullest.
Lisa has been blessed with an abundance of support so far, and people are continually coming forward asking how they can help. It is our hope that this campaign will be a way for those people, as well as anyone else who feels called, to do so. All past and future support will be helping Lisa with what she wants the most; time. Time to spend with her kids, time to watch them grow, and time to enjoy the good times and simple pleasures of life. She wants to give her kids a lifetime of memories, even if her lifetime turns out shorter than she had hoped.
