Help Raise Money for Kim & Scotty Hulick

Just thought i'd throw this together to keep everyone up to date on Kimberly Hasenfus Hulick. I hope to answer any questions any of you might have. So here we go.

Today she was in a single car accident and was sent to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredricksburg VA.

From what we know she was followed by a Sheriff deputy and two off duty rescue squad members who saw the crash and were there immedi...ately after it happened. Plus where the accident happened she was very close to Mary Washington, just a short 15 mile drive.

Current status as of 10:31pm: stable mother AND stable baby

The baby's heart is a rock and looks great in the scans they have done already. Placenta is all good as well. Currently Kim is having contractions but those are being mitigated through medicine and the contractions have longed out, in other words they were shorter together at one point.

Kim is the house that was built for that baby and protected it well.

Kim currently is sedated due to injuries primarily. She has experienced multiple fractures, arm, foot, breast bone, ribs, optical bone/cheek bone fracture. There has been some bruising of the brain but no build up of blood or pressure that would move her brain if there were any. Her neurological signs are good as well. When she is taken off the sedation she moves her left arm and left leg ecstatically trying to pull IVs and of the sorts out. Her right side, where most of the injuries reside, there is some movement but it's limited.

Going forward:
1. first to continue to monitor her condition and ensure her brain pressures and blood doesn't rise
2. once the above is in the clear, then they will be discussing surgery for the broken bones that need surgery.
3. this is a marathon....not a race.

I will be updating everyone when i can and i appreciate all the calls and texts we have been getting from friends and family. You all mean much more to us than you realize. If you know of someone that knows Kim please feel free to let them know what's going on. In the near future i think i might put something together that everyone could help us with, but that's neither here nor there right now.

I have known Kim since my Freshman year of college at Longwood University.  She has done so much for me, as a person, when no one else has.  She has been a friend and a rock for years, and now she needs all of our help.  This fund is to help her heal, help with bills, and whatever else she and her family may need.  I thank you in advance for your help.
