Heidy’s Angels

Heidy is a 27 year old cancer warrior, wife and mother of 3 beautiful girls ages 11,10, and 2.  She has been bringing her children to our dental office for several years.  They are her entire world and the main reason she fights everyday.  At the moment she is battling systemic lupus, thyroid cancer, stomach cancer and a rare form of fallopian tube cancer.  She has had 8 months of multiple surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy treatments.  She is currently undergoing another round of chemotherapy and has another large surgery in two weeks.  She is fortunate to have a medical insurance plan but her family is currently struggling with additional monthly medication and treatment costs not covered by insurance (insurance only will pay for half of the cost of her chemotherapy treatments and does not cover her monthly medications or her neulasta shots to raise her white blood cell counts), as well as transportation costs such as uber that she relies on to take her to and from her many doctor’s appointments and her chemotherapy sessions in Downtown .  The monthly chemo sessions have also added to the financial struggle to pay for childcare for her youngest who is 2 years old as her husband has been working two jobs and caring for the her, the family and household.  This gofundme was created without Heidy asking but because sometimes it takes a village to fight this battle.  We want her to know that she is not alone in this battle against cancer and by helping to relive some financial burden she can focus on healing, health and her daughters.  If you can make a donation  anything helps.
