Tongueless, toothless Trooper needs help

Hi Everyone,
I usually don't do this type of stuff, but this guy really needs our help. Most of you know I do rescue with Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue and this is my newest foster, Trooper. Some of you have met him and know about the Trooper charm. I thought my old foster Wanda was a hard luck story, but Trooper has her beat. The shelter contacted a SBTCA member, in Rescue about Trooper and he was pulled immediately. To Rescue's surprise, we discovered he had no tongue, and most of his teeth were gone or rotten and infected. Yet like a little Trooper, he has figured out how to eat and drink his own way.

Trooper also has two torn ACLs in his knees, which is painful, but he tries hard to play and keep up with his friends. He's also missing part of his ear, and has tie out marks on one leg which makes my heart hurt to think of him being tied up. This little guy is sweet. He melts hearts wherever he goes. We call it "selling the sizzle."

SBTCA Rescue has been great on supporting Trooper's quest to get better. He's seeing a great doggie dentist in San Diego, and has found a surgeon up in Chino Hills to help him get some new knees. The reason I'm raising money for him is that our club has agreed to pay for all of his medical needs, but I want to be able to continue helping little Trooper's, Wanda's, Folsom's and Maggie's, but we need to replenish the funds we are using on Trooper. Every dollar I raise is going directly to our club's http://www.sbtca.com rescue fund in honor of Trooper. Every dollar counts and I'm curious to see if one person can really make difference.
