Daugherty Family Relief Fund
I am trying to reach out for my family in Starke Florida. Yesterday afternoon I received a tragic phone call. My dad (John Daugherty) informed me that their house went up in flames on Feb. 10th, in the afternoon, he lives with my mom Virginia Daugherty, and my three teenage brothers. I was informed this morning that my brothers rooms have been completely taken over by the fire and that they have absolutely nothing left except the clothes they were wearing. Thankfully no one was harmed and everyone including the puppy got out safely. I am their oldest daughter/sister (Chalin McGuire 21) and I live in Colorado Springs, CO. It breaks my heart to know that my family has lost nearly everything they owned, I am desperate to send them help, even if we are miles apart! We have been through a lot here in the last few months, our Grandfather passed away the day after Thanksgiving and our Grandmother only two short months after. I am hoping if I can get their story out we can slowly aid them in a new start, piecing together a life for them again.
My father, John Daughter and my mother Virginia Daughter are raising three loving and passionate boys:
Andre is the oldest and is currently 17 (he will be turning 18 on March 14th).
Johnnie is the middle child and just turned 15.
And Jordan is the youngest and is 13 years old.
These boys attend a local private school, Hope Christian Academy in Theressa Fl. They are all active in the school, but sports is their passion. They are well mannered young men, and they deserve all the happiness every young man should have!!! They are all unique in their own ways. And I love them each very much!!
My dad, John Daugherty, is self employed and crafts one of a kind all wood furnishings. He is very skilled with his hands. My mom, Virginia Daugherty, is a school teacher at the local elementary school (Starke Elementary), she has such a giving heart and she devotes all of her time to helping children in the community both at her work, and at the private school that my siblings attend.
