Help Me Spread God's Inclusive Love

"'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future'" Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
For many years, I struggled believing that God's grace was for me. I was taught that as a gay man, I was an abomination. This falsehood is still very prevalent in the church today. Not long ago I found a church that helped me realize that God's love and grace was for everyone.
Over the past several years, God has used me to help spread the word of His amazing grace. I spearheaded a Bible study group with a primary outreach to those who had been disenfranchised by the church and within the first year it had grown to a membership of 100+ members. I also serve as Sunday school teacher, mentor, and spiritual leader to those in need.
This fall I answered the call from Christ to apply to seminary. With strong support from my husband, church, family and friends I will be attending SMU's Perkin's School of Theology starting this fall in the Master of Divinity program.
Being an openly gay christian, I know that God has a plan for my life to carry His name to those who have been hurt by the organized church and to help those currently in the church understand that God's love is for everyone.
There are many scholarships out there, but almost all of them require that I be in the process of ordination. Being openly out, I cannot currently be a part of the ordination process which limits my ability to be awarded many of the scholarships.
Prayerfully, help me fund tuition for my first year of seminary. I know that God will use me to help change the hearts of those around me.
