Hello Everyone,
Most of you know our sweet boy Nathan Waddle. He is kind hearted and easy going. He hasn't had an easy life but that has never stopped his joyful spirit. Nathan's father Jeremy (my brother) was doing the best that he could as a single-parent to raise Nate on his own. At the age of 23, my brother was in a fatal motorcycle accident. Since then my husband and I have raised Nate as one of our own with help from my parents.
On Saturday night Nathan was competeing in a NFC fight when he sustained a very serious brain injury. He was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a portion of his skull in order to relieve the pressure on his brain and to control the bleeding. Since then he has been in a coma and there is still a lot of swelling around his brain. The doctors project that Nate will be in the ICU unit of this hospitial for another 8 weeks. The doctor also said that Nate will need to have another surgery to reconnect his skull. He will need to be admitted into a rehablilton faucility for 5-6 months.
Nathan is slowly making progress and we are praying that he will be able to make a full recovery. We know that this will be a long and challanging process. With help from God we are willing to do whatever it takes to get Nate back to the life that he had before all of this happened. I have had multiple people offer donations to help with Nate's medical bills, so that is why I am making this page. I'd like to thank everyone for all of the support and kind words. We truly appriciate all of the prayers that we have recieved for Nathan and our family. Please continue to pray for us as we go through this rough time in our lives.
