Motorcycle Santa's Christmas Quest

Donation protected

It's that time of the year again! Thanks to last year's overwhelming amount of support, Motorcycle Santa was transformed into a charitable movement that gave back to less forunate children in the local area and also brought Christmas to sick children confined to hospital limits during the holiday weeks. It was fueled by the giving spirits and motivated minds of a great community of friends and family which I have had the blessing of growing up with,  and for that - I thank you!

This year, we will be donating to two connected establishments -  A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. The hospital, similar to last year, will receive gift donations that will be made available to the families of sick patients whom are unfortunately confined to the hospital due to their illness. The parents of the children are able to pick through the donations, and have particular gifts wrapped to be given to them on Christmas, since they are unable to spend it within the comfort of their own home. This year, we are also looking to make a very beneficial contribution to the Ronald McDonald House. The building is home to 50 individual rooms, which are used to house the families of chronically ill or injured children being treated at the hospital. It provides a 'home away from home' for those famlies enduring difficult times. On top of making physical donations, I am aiming strongly  at raising enough funds to be able to sponsor a room for an entire year. If we can raise at least $5,000, we can essentially 'pay the rent' for one of these rooms for an entire year which will significantly benefit families that will need to stay there. Any and all funds above this will go towards purchasing itemized lists of needs for both establishments, gift donations, and expanding what we have turned into a mini-parade flooded with Christmas spirit.

There will be a sperate toy drive and fund raising event which will provide a fun opportunity to give to the cause. I will provide details via social media. The GoFundMe page seemed to be a very productive way of spreading the word.

Last year was a great, memorable time both for the participants as well as the children we visited. It's more than just a motorcycle and a trailer dropping off toys, we formed a motorcade and stormed the streets! Everyone is welcome, on top of donating, to join along on the day of the ride - the more the merrier!

Thanks in advance to everyone involved, lets ride!
