Heather needs a Kidney Fund

Donation protected

In June of 2013, Heather Cote, 27, from Maine, was hospitalized because her kidney's were failing. She was later diagnosed with two auto-immune disease's called ANCA Vasculitis and Anti-GBM (Good Pasture's). Both of these auto-immune disease's specifically attacked her kidney's.

Heather was discharged from the hospital and has since undergone many different treatments including Plasmapheresis, Dialysis, and a complex drug regimen to treat her disease's.

Currently Heather is in Stage V Renal Failure, which means that she will need a kidney transplant. Heather is also dealing with many other health issues due to her kidney failure which makes it very difficult for her on a daily basis.

Heather has returned to work full-time, because her family depends on her income, but is in constant agony and extremely fatigued.

Heather is one of the strongest people I know. Her ability to get through every day since being admitted to the hospital is truly amazing!

Heather and her family need help. We're hopeful that she will receive a transplant by the end of the summer. Heather needs to cut back her hours at work to feel better and after the transplant she will not be able to work for up to 6 months and the anti-rejection drugs costs $5,000/ month. The year following the transplant will prove to be a challenging time for Heather and her family.

Thank you!
