Nicola Stonehouse - memorial garden
Donation protected
I have set up this page to raise sponsorship to create a memorial garden and bench at Woodlea Primary School in memory of Nicola Stonehouse. Please, please help.
Nicola was sadly taken from us at just 12 years old in October 2013. She was always smiling and cheerful and is greatly missed by all who knew her.
Her laughter was contagious and no matter what she was attempting at school she never gave up.
I helped teach Nicola at Woodlea for 6 years and feel very lucky to have known such an inspirational young lady.
In November I felt a need to help create a permanent memory of Nicola at Woodlea and, with her family's blessing, I have committed to raise funds so that we can have a beautiful garden area within the grounds of Woodlea, including seating and seasonal planting so that children can always remember her fondly and keep her memory alive.
You may know that I have often run short distances (ie 1 or 2 miles) and always hated the idea of running any greater distance, indeed I had often stated that people who ran long distances were mad!
Well, I have entered the Fleet Half Marathon on 16th March 2014 and will be running 13 miles for this worthy cause,
It would be great if you could help me towards my goal by sponsoring me either directly or through this page.
Many thanks.
PS. My training started late last year, I'm the one running around the streets of Bordon & Whitehill in pink or yellow lycra with flashing lights!!
