Lajos Tringer's Cancer Treatment Fund

Lajos is our Dearest Friend and a Father figure to my Husband. He is a devoted family man and recently found out that he has colon cancer at age 59. He is devastated by this diagnosis. He is the most modest and most hard working man we know. He is still trying to work regardless that the cancer is beating him to the ground. Lajos is trying to lead a normal life while undergoing conventional cancer treatment. Unfortunately just like many men, he didn't believe in conventional medicine and found it to be unnecessary to go to the doctor with his pain until it was unbearable. He has lived his life without ever needing any help from medicine and this time around the help that he is receiving is not helping him. Radiation and chemo therapy is killing him in front of our eyes. He has lost over 60 lbs. in the past 6 months. Lajos is wasting away in front of our eyes. We are trying to help him and get him the help that he needs. We contacted Burzynski Clinic / Dr. Burzynski where they advised us that they would be able to help him and there is a good chance that his cancer could be cured with a personalized gene therapy but the price is steep for our pocket and Medicare will not cover the costs of the treatment and the much needed medications. We anticipate that his treatment will be about $100,000.00 dollars with all expenses and while we love him so very much, we do not have this kind of money. All of his friends are donating for his treatment as much as they physically can and we are devoting our time to go to the doctor with him, provide him with the transportation and lodging while undergoing treatment. We are all working really hard to support him through this tough time. He is the man who has been standing by our side in our moments of need and this is the only way we can give back to him.
