Our daughter, Gabrielle, has been invited to travel to Russia the week of Spring Break (March 24-April 1) by the “Chertanovo 2001” team who lives and trains at the Chertanovo Football Academy and Education Center.

She will be participating in an international tournament with teams from Eastern Europe including the "Chertanovo 2001" team - the 2013 Russian Champions for thier age group, "Chertanovo 2002" - the leader in the region, also aspiring to qualify for the 2014 finals, and United Moscow - the strongest players from all of the football schools in Moscow.
In addition to a rigorous game schedule, Gabrielle will also get a chance to do sight-seeing on two of the days and to learn about a new and exciting culture. This is truly an experience that I cannot imagine passing up.... I only wish our whole family could go and experience her star shining internationally!
We are fortunate that the Chertanovo Football Academy has offered to host our girls at no additional cost, so we will only be responsible for airfare for Gabrielle, airfare split for the coaching team, her passport (which we have to pay extra to expedite), her Visa (which we also need to pay extra to expedite), and spending money (which will be a last-minute amount based on our budget position). However, this tremendous opportunity comes without much notice and we have not budgeted for it.
In order to cover the gap, I am personally going to forgo my daily coffee and lunch expenses , which I believe will save us $250 over the next five weeks.
