Donnie Pyle is an amazing human being. He began singing Elvis gospel music for his family. This turned into a ministry and his only extra income after he retired. He has a servant's heart. He and his wife Sharon sold their home 2 years ago and moved in with an elderly couple to care for them. Then when Sharon's sister died they moved in with his Mother in law who is disabled with Alzheimer's to care for her. He helps anyone he can, sings at nursing homes, family funerals all to promote the gospel of Christ.
He became very ill last October with a rare bacterial infection that started in his colon, which spread to his liver and kidneys. This caused 2 large abscesses on the liver and his lungs to fill with fluid. Hospitalized at the Veterans Hospital in early November, he ultimately had colon surgery to save his life Nov. 29th. There have been heart issues and complications slowing his recovery. He will have a second surgery at the end of March to reconnect his colon. Then 2 months to recover after that if all goes well. So he has been without the income he needs to meet his bills and will be until summer at least.
