Safer Path Needs Your Help
Safer Path Family Violence Shelter, formerly Atascosa Family Crisis Center, is a small but mighty organization serving the rural brush country of South Central Texas. Located in Pleasanton, we have been helping families walk a safer path since 1992. We provided advocacy and support services for 1,170 victims of domestic and sexual violence in 2018. A residential shelter for victims of domestic violence has been a dream for the last 26 years. We are a hair's breadth away from opening the County's first residential shelter of any kind. The recent federal government shutdown has stopped our grant payments. It costs $12,839 a week to run our family violence services. Our cash reserves have been depleted. We need your support today to remain open through the shut down until our grant payments begin again.
