*UPDATE*
Ray is out of hospital and recovering fairly well, considering the damage that was done. He has multiple plates in his face but the facial surgeon is happy with his progress. He is still swollen and struggling to eat solid foods but he is improving day by day.
He is still at least a month a way from being able to work again and thats why everyone that has donated to this fund has been so incredibly important. The money so far has been used to keep the utility bills in check, keep food on the table, pay medical bills and to prevent my dear mother from having a nervous breakdown. Not having to stress as much about finances has allowed the family to truly focus on Rays longterm recovery which is the most important thing for all of us right now.
I wish I could personally thank every single person who has contributed and/or sent messages of support, you wouldn't believe how much this has helped our family through this incredibly hard time. The true beauty of humanity has really shone through with the support we have recieved and we are all eternally grateful for it all. From the bottom of all of our hearts, Thank you.
Ray Larsen, respected and well loved tattoo artist, father and husband from Geelong was recently grievously assaulted within 5 minutes from our family home. After Ray was knocked unconscious it seems evident that they have continued to inflict blows directly to his face and head and then left him for dead. There will be an investigation so for legal reasons I won't say anymore.
Ray has undergone a full facial reconstruction due to damage to his eye sockets, cheekbones, nose, teeth, internal injuries as well as a broken collarbone and numerous bruises and cuts.
Ray is a proud man and would never ask for handouts or charity but he is the main income provider for a wife (my beautiful mother) and my two amazing sisters, a dog and three cats (I live and work interstate so can't be there to help).
I've created this page to try and raise some money for my family while Ray faces a lengthy recovery. Money to pay bills, medical costs and to keep putting food on the table and the potential of court costs in the future.
Any donation's of any size would be much appreciated to ease the stress of this incredibly difficult time for my family
