My Brother’s Medical Bills

My brother Matt, who is 26 years old, was diagnosed in April of 2017 with a rare form of testicular cancer called Embryonic Testicular Cancer which also spread to his lymph nodes. He had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor and went through a very hard 3 month chemotherapy regimen. The chemotherapy he went through was very intense because his cancer was fast moving and the doctors wanted to get rid of it before it spread even further. After this chemotherapy regimen and a month after of waiting the results of his blood work and MRI told us he was cancer free in his body in October!! My brother finished 1st place in a drug-free body building competition years ago and has been a very strong guy but after chemotherapy he was very weak and sick. It was very hard to see him go through that. He is still trying to bounce back from it but is making great progress and gaining back his strength! As many of you know, medical treatments are expensive. On top of the bills that he has to pay for his cancer treatments, he has to pay for future scans to make sure he stays cancer free for the rest of his life. He got married to his wife Danielle in October so they are trying to save money to buy a house on top of paying for these medical bills. He also recently graduated from college so he has many student loans to pay off. He is just starting out his adult life so medical bills really make it hard for him to do so.  Matt told me not to do this since he told me he’s not “one for handouts”. But this is my handout to him... no matter what he says. If anyone that has to deal with cancer and then on top of that has to deal with medical bills just to keep him alive, to be able to love his life, wife, family, and future family deserves a so-called “hand out”.  He’s too humble to ask for this type of thing, but what I do know is, what he always told us...”never out of the fight.” Any donation will help greatly and will be very appreciated!
