Open Jar Wish Fund

Open Jar Institute holds a program for high school students every summer in New York. Only 60 individuals were chosen and I was fortunate to be selected as one of them. This program offers a week in New York to learn from professionals, see a few Broadway shows, receive backstage tours of productions, even meet the casts. This was be a dream come true for me when I found out I was accepted. Theatre is such a huge passion in my life. This is really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Tuition costs $2,125 and housing is an extra $750. I also have to provide airfare and spending money. Of course my family will be helping out with paying for this but we can't afford it all. This is not just a vacation to New York. This is strictly an educational program. Everything helps.
