For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to help people. I want to encourage them, lead them, and show them their true potential that they hold within themselves. Almost 2 years ago I began working at a gym, and it truly changed my life. I started at the front, observing people coming in every day, and watching as they fought through tears and sweat to get towards the goals they were reaching for. It's so incredible to see. Almost a year ago now, I became certified as a spin instructor, and I've loved every single moment of it. It's been constructing playlists and pushing people to go further than they thought they could. It's been about seeing people drenched in sweat.. but most of all, it's been about those who have come up to me and thanked me for what I did for them-- for encouraging them to see themselves through my eyes: stronger than they could imagine. As a single mom, working at this gym has given me so much to be passionate about and work so hard for. They have supported me and given me the chance to change lives while supporting my beautiful little boy. Today, February 4th, 2014, I am making the decision to go even further with what I love. I am applying to NPTI-- a 6 month program here in Chicago that will give me every single tool and hands on experience to be a successful PERSONAL TRAINER! I've done my research through every possible outlet I had-- and this is the program that has been top of the list. Two of our best trainers even attended the program! I have gotten so many questions from friends and acquaintances about fitness and workout plans and I want to be able to give legitimate feedback, and be able to help the people I love as well as all others! To do this though, I could use a little help. The program in total is almost $6,000-- Which is actually a reduced price that they offered me because I wanted to start in April! I am asking to try and reach the goal of $6,200 so I know all costs are covered. I know it's a lot of money, but I was always taught that I wouldn't know what I could have until I asked.. So I am reaching out to the people that I love and the ones who have watched me grow. I'm hoping to reach my goal-- but anything helps. This is my future career-- please help be a part of getting me there! Thanks everyone!

I have officially applied to NPTI! If I can raise enough money, I will be starting April 7th! They were awesome enough to knock off $1,000 from the original cost because I was willing to start so soon!
