Helping the VanBuskirks

Donation protected
When a friend needs help we must stand together and rise to the occasion to aid them.

My friend Jason VanBuskirk has a family everyone should envy; a beautiful wife and two perfect children. In the beginning of December 2013 Jason's wife Gloria fell ill and her sickness progressed extremely fast resulting in severe seizures. Gloria was admitted into the hospital and transferred to the Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital ICU in Boston. Due to the severity of her illness and the unknown reasons for her seizures Gloria was placed into a medically induced coma to aid in controlling her seizures.

Jason is the true definition of a husband and a father. He spends everyday by Gloria's side talking and reading to her, brushing her hair and holding her hands. In the morning and evenings Jason is busy talking and reading to his children (ages 3 and 1), brushing their hair, holding their hands and driving them to the plethora of family and friends that are helping care for them so Jason can be by Gloria's side.

Although the VanBuskirk's have insurance and Gloria's top rated care is covered the mounting pressure of co pays, deductibles, meals, gas money, parking costs, new clothes and toys for growing children and countless unforeseen unknowns are weighing on this new young family.

I along with numerous other members of my gym CrossFit Reclamation will be traveling to Ashland, MA to participate in a workout fundraiser at CrossFit Synergistics on Saturday February 8th. Gloria's aunt and cousin are hosting the event and fellow high school friends Mike Purpura and James Mitchell are involved in fundraising and planning the workouts.

Please help us raise funds to help this young family in need.

We will be shedding blood, sweat and tears across four intense workouts as a gesture of gratitude and as a means by which to band together to helps those that need us.

No donation is too small! LET'S GO!!
