Hurricane Laura

I moved to Lake Charles in 2001 to continue my baseball career and I’ve lived here from that time. I instantly fell in love with this place because of the people. I was welcomed with open arms and met some of the most amazing people in this city. This place is special and it’s heart breaking to see it this way. We are truly blessed, our family and friends are safe and healthy. We have a home, it needs some work but it’s still here. We have resources and amazing family and friends who continue to reach out and step up. People we barely know or have never met offering a helping hand, a meal, or just some words of encouragement.

Please continue to pray for our community, it’s going to be a very long road. If you have the means to help, please do. Any little gesture will go a long way, whatever you can do. Early reports are saying it might be up to 2 months before we have power and water restored. So like I said, anything will help.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out to check on me and my family, you have no idea how loved we feel when we get that text or call!! Our God is awesome and we will get get through this!

go to helping our community in any way possible. From bottled water, to gasoline, tarps, and providing warm meals. Amber and I are truly blessed too and we want to help our community come back as quickly as possible!
